Time to catch up!

What a busy week it’s been, and I’m not entirely sure where all the time has gone.

Having made lots of twizzle bracelets and earrings to replace stock on Wednesday, I turned my thoughts to other things for the showcase on Thursday.

I spent most of the day making greetings cards, starting off with some simple baby cards using silver ink to stamp handprints on blue, pink or cream card, then mounting it onto mirror card to create a lovely card topper.  The wedding cards used card blanks with pre embossed silver lettering around the edges.

After lunch I became a bit more creative, making daisies by punching shapes out of drinks cans and then progressing onto the animals which were sculpted from Jumping Clay.  The clay is extremely light and is jasmine scented so can be quite therapeutic to work with.

Friday finally came and the showcase was a really enjoyable day, showing off my creations and catching up with crafty friends as well as meeting some new crafters.

Having managed to pack the boys off to Nanna’s for the weekend I had a few days away from crafting and made the most of the time by having a big sort out of the house.  Unbelievably in 2.5 days we only managed to go through upstairs and still have lots to do downstairs, although my crafty corner is still looking very neat and tidy.
